Introduction:
VR Chinese Chess is an innovative game that combines traditional Chinese chess gameplay with virtual reality technology. Through virtual reality headsets, players can immerse themselves in exquisite game scenes and experience the fun of traditional Chinese chess. 

Features:
Immersive virtual reality experience: VR Chinese Chess uses virtual reality technology to provide players with an immersive gaming experience. Players can observe the game scene, chessboard, and chess pieces through the headset, and easily control the chess pieces.  

Personalized game settings: You can choose game scenes and chess pieces according to your preferences and customize your game experience.  

Innovative chess pieces: The chess pieces in VR Chinese Chess are different from traditional chess pieces. They are not flat chess pieces, but sculptured chess pieces, giving you a different viewing experience.

VR Headset Controller Control:

Left Thumbstick: Move.

Left Oculus Button: Main Menu.

Select Button: Select. (For UI selection)

Trigger Button: Select Chess. (Chess Piece only)

Right Thumbstick: Front for Teleport, Left and Right for Rotate View.

VR Simulator Controller Control:

T Key: Switch to Left Hand

Y Key: Switch to Right Hand

R Key: Rotate Hand

G Key: Select Chess Piece

Left Click: Select UI

W,A,S,D when Left Hand: Move

W when Right Hand: Teleport

A, D when Right Hand: Rotate View

What the developer wants to say:

Hi, this is my solo work for my Final Year Project at Asia Pacific University. This project is only a demo/prototype, but there is an option to play against AI in the game, and there are three difficulty levels to choose from. Currently, I am a fresh graduate, so I will focus more on my current career development and developing other types of games to enrich my portfolio. So this project will remain in its current state until there is time to optimize and update it in the future.

Limitations:

Currently, most of the game production for this project uses online assets or downloaded materials. If there are any copyright or credit issues, please send an email to xiaoderfei@gmail.com for notification in time.

In addition, since this project is a prototype, and it is the first time for the developer to learn and try to develop a VR game by himself, it will contain a few bug issues, but it will not affect normal play. Please play with confidence. If you have any bug problems, please leave a message for feedback below as well.

Future Feature Plans:

1. Change in chess game operating system to be more reasonable and realistic.

2. Add more interactive items in the main lobby.

3. Added more visual effects for a more special gaming experience.

4. Enable the multiplayer mode.
